Accessibility

Our commitment

Someone reading this site may be doing so with a headache, in a dark hotel room, on a phone, feeling unwell. Accessibility isn't an afterthought here — it's most of the audience on a bad day.

Standard

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. In practice that means semantic HTML with a correct heading order, text contrast meeting AA ratios, descriptive alt text on meaningful images, keyboard navigability throughout, labelled form fields, no reliance on colour alone to convey meaning, and text that reflows without horizontal scrolling at 200% zoom.

The site is built as plain HTML and CSS with minimal JavaScript, which helps: it works with screen readers, on slow connections, and with scripts disabled.

Known limitations

We test this site ourselves rather than claiming certification. At our last check (29 July 2026): text and interface colours meet or exceed the AA contrast ratio, heading order is valid on every page with no skipped levels, every image carries descriptive alt text, all form fields are labelled, every page has a skip-to-content link and a main landmark, and the site reflows without horizontal scrolling down to a 375 px screen.

We have not had an independent accessibility audit, and we have not tested with every combination of screen reader and browser. If you hit a barrier we have missed, tell us and we will fix it.
