Elevation figures come from official sources — the National Park Service, resort operators, and USGS data. Where a figure is approximate, we say approximate.

How this content is produced

Content is written and maintained by the Intravene clinical team and checked against CDC high-altitude travel and altitude illness recommendations. Pages carry the date they were last checked.

We do not claim independent medical review of this content. Intravene's clinical practice operates under medical oversight from Guardian Medical Direction, a national physician-led medical direction group — but that oversight governs how care is delivered, not what is published here. We would rather state that plainly than imply a review that has not happened.

When the evidence is mixed

We say so. Several widely marketed altitude remedies have little or no supporting evidence, and we name them rather than omitting them — including services adjacent to our own. Where research genuinely disagrees, we describe the disagreement instead of picking the version that suits us.

Commercial content

This site is published by Intravene, which sells mobile IV hydration in Denver. One page — `/treatment` — describes that service. It is labelled as such and states plainly when the service is not worth buying.
